Jimi Hendrix recorded in this Columbia City studio/club space - story goes. The venue is a cool spot with the spirit of its vaudevillian roots still present, old brick walls, night club ambiance, real live stage and - of course - Columbia City is a jumping neighborhood with great restaurants for pre-show eats. GOING PLATINUM
I'm going to be famous - oh - someday - somewhere
And I want each and every one of you to be there
I'm going to bleach my hair blonde for the camera lights
Create a trend from my deep inner life
Carefully packaged and merchandised
Ain't living the same - living the same as selling?"

MORE NEWS: The dudess is a volunteer staff writer for the new Ancient Victories News publication dedicated to supporting, documenting and presenting PNW talent from the forty plus years of Open Mics run by Chris Lunn from Califoria to Washington. Ms. Blaine is an alum (an ANCIENT?) having played Open Mic nights and performed in Victory Music concerts back in the late 70's with twin sister, Siri, as the folk duo Ditto and later as her solo act,0 Karin Blaine.
Karin's second article appeared June 1st in Vol. 2, an interview with Susie Grey, a 92 years YOUNG entertainer who is still writing songs and performing. An inspiring role model!
